I have always wanted a roaster and after having an amazing prime rib on Xmas eve that was cooked in one, I immediately began looking at reviews. This is the one I purchased. The first thing I made was a 6lb pork roast with about 5lbs of vegetables with a ton of extra room! It coooed up in a little over 2 hours and was divine! I love thay I have extra cooking room when prepping dinner and this also makes it easier for my 70 year old mom to cook because she doesn't have to bend to put things in and out of the oven. I used the cookbook as a guide, but I googled some info because the book is pretty sparse and basically just a reference. The complete unit is a little heavy, and if lifting is an issue get some help. The liner is not heavy, but it does have some sharp edges. Be careful when lifting and washing it. Also, food does stick to it. I had to really scrub to get the food out of the bottom. I'm going to research and see if I can line it with foil to assist with the sticking. I also agree with others that it is quite hot when cooking. So, be sure to have an oven mitt or towel when taking the lid off. I have had no issue with paint coming off but I will keep an eye out for that. Overall, and foe the price, this is a great addition to our cooking gadgets and will be used often. I can't wait to make some Cornish game hens in it I included a pic and the beer bottle is for size reference. It's what was handy.
