[Still] The most robust keyboard case out there!
I ordered the Rugged Folio for iPad Air as soon as it became available for purchase. I have researched all the options out there for bluetooth keyboards and this one is the most robust option. Many other keyboard cases are either flimsy or their functionality is limited. For example, other folio type cases only have one way to use the iPad; in landscape mode. Yes, some flip 360 degrees so that the keyboard half is flush against the back of the iPad, but that leaves the keys exposed leading to possible damage. The only other case I considered was the Logitech Ultrathin Folio due to the way it folds down to cover and protect the keyboard in tablet mode. What deterred me was that it is a very flimsy case. The Zagg Rugged Folio however is, as the name implies, 'Rugged.' The case is extremely durable and looks like it military laptop. What sold me was the way the magnetic hinge allows for the iPad to be effortlessly separated from the keyboard half. This makes using the iPad in tablet mode, landscape, or as a "netbook" intuitive and convenient. The multi-color backlit keyboard is comfortable enough to use without much relearning. It's obviously not a full sized keyboard, but it's not all that different from a netbook keyboard. The only drawback is that it is heavy. Real heavy. I was expecting the case to add some bulk and weight, but it caught me off guard a bit. If weight is not an issue, this is the keyboard case to get. It adds super protection with its rugged case, has a comfortable backlit keyboard, and a robust set of configurations to use the iPad the way you want to use it without the limitations of the case getting in the way. Update [10/6/2015] This case is awesome. I've used my iPad almost everyday and the case is holding up great. Only recharged the keyboard maybe once since I've gotten it, although most of the time the back-light is off (usually the brightness of the screen sufficiently illuminates the keys anyways). Also, it gets a lot of compliments! Still highly recommend this case over the rest of them! Buy it. Update [10/17/2015] I've recently updated my iPad Air to iOS 9 and found that pretty much all of the hotkeys don't work anymore. The only ones that work are the Home key, Lock key, and the On-screen keyboard hotkey. All the other ones, don't do a thing. Not that big of a deal, but I lose that convenience factor... Update [10/20/15] Suddenly, the hotkeys seem to work! All of them are working except for the Globe key, which is supposed to change keyboards. Instead, it acts just like the Search hotkey just to the left of it. Other than that, all of them are operational now!
