I bought these Breezo strips as a conscious effort to reduce my use of plastics after my recycle guy told me only about 20% of the recycle pick up actually gets recycled in the US. The rest ends up in land fills and does not biodegrade for thousands of years. I bought these after first looking at the Tru Earth brand. I settled on the Breezo's for the economic factor. Only 8 bucks for 48 loads! For those who complained of residue left on their clothing I did not have any such problem even on my dark clothes. Never the less, I always start the washer, throw the strip in and wait a minute for it to dissolve. I also swirl it around to speed up the process. Then add clothes. I will never buy detergent in a plastic bottle again! This is an update on the above review. I have reordered these Breezeo's and the 2nd package is not at all like the first. In this second batch the strips do not dissolve quickly at all and therefore leave residue on clothing. I am having to tear it up into little pieces and dissolve it in a cup of water first, then pour that into the washer. I did not have to do this with the first package. I don't know if the manufacturer changed them or if they are a knock off or what but I would no longer recommend these. However I may try them one more time just to see if I got a bad batch.
