There are many times when you are forced to check your carry on bag because the overhead bins get full. This bag will always fit under the seat in front of you. It seems too fragile to check, but because it fits as an under the seat bag, you will not have to ever check it. It is roomy enough to put all your electronics and other items like medications and provisions if you get stuck overnight. I just took a long trip and I was even able to carry it on very small airplanes and it fit every time. The only thing I do not like about it is the front zipper can only be closed in one direction. The other zippers can close both directions. The wheels work well and the handle is nice and tall for tall people. It is pretty well made for the price.
