My outdoor cats love this!
We have a stray who adopted us 2 years ago. I tried making an outdoor cat box from a plastic bin and the cat would not touch it. She is a little wild but will let me pet her when I feed her. I have worried about her in the cold weather but she has found a place under my deck. But I always worry about her when the temperature drops. My husband was sure she would not get in this house, but the reviews were good so I decided to try it. Over the past few weeks, I have been heating her a bean filled bag on a blanket on a roofed porch. She did like that. As soon as the house was put together and it was amazingly easy, I added the bean bag heat bag to entice her into the house. She is just the most skittish cat. Within one hour, she was in the house. Today I removed the bean bag and she is using the house with the heated pad. She loves it! She likes both openers so do not let that deter you. The house is snug and warm. It can get very cold here on the mountain in WV so I may get some velcro and put a cover over the entryways. But I have to be careful because any changes always scare her for a while. The house is on a table outside our kitchen windows. She likes it in the house since she can look in the windows and see us. Believe me, if she would come in the house, I would bring her. I have 4 dogs inside and they respect her but she only really plays around with the older one. The three shepherds (two are rescues) have a healthy respect for her. We also have 3 acres fenced so she is quite protected from any predators. She is one happy cat so thank you for the wonderful heated house! Worth the price for her comfort and my peace of mind.
Updating my review 10/26/13
I am adding to this review Oct. 2013 to say I have ordered my 2nd house since a 2nd stray has adopted us again! They will not go into the house together so I must have another for winter. I love the new plastic on the door openings. I have taken those off for now until the new cat is used to the house. I do put heavy towels over the doorways and top to keep the warmth in during the very cold months. Dobbie, our new addition is snug in one house and Midi in the other and it is 22 here this morning. They love these houses!!

We ordered this for our neighbor's outside cat. I was explaining how it might take a few days for him to start actually going into it. We set it up and he was in it immediately. It is in a corner of the front porch and he uses it constantly. Love the new addition with the plastic covers on the doors. This must be under a roof and not on the ground or subjected to rain. In a perfect world all cats should be indoors but when this is not happening, this kitty cabin is the best alternative.
