Fantastic lights with one annoyance (read this to solve it)
The light has two dimmers that allows you to mix the yellow LED’s with the white (as it calls them,) basically not giving you any indication of what color temperature you’re mixing as other LED’s often do. This is super annoying, so I ran a few tests with a vector scope to discover the exact numbers so when I took them on shoots I could be confident of what temperature was being output. Here are the results: With yellow at 100% and white at 0, the temp is 3200k. With white at full and yellow at 0, the temp is 5000k. With both at 100%, you get 4000k. This is the most efficient state, as both sets of LED’s are outputting as much light as possible. Knowing this, setting your camera at 4000K is the best way to go.
