This was very easy to assemble and is completely sturdy. I bought it for a kitchen chair, as my family member has trouble sitting and standing at mealtime. Instead of the bottom rail facing front, I turned the rails around and put the rail underneath the legs of the chair. (see photo) I think many may be put off that this product's name focuses on toilet use -- you have to sometimes think outside the box (you know, the one with the product name on it.) It's perfect in the kitchen.
