This was a great buy for me & my pup. He doesn't mind it at all, has helped us work better together & now spend much more quality time together because of it. I understand people saying pinch collars are bad, but I've had dogs all my life, never wanted to inflict any damage to a single one of my dogs & pups over the years & this allows me to have the pinch styled training collars versus the bite styled training collars. This is awesome! So our new puppy Radar was a tiny-ish pup when we rescued him from the ASPCA & was absolutely awesome, right from the start. He fit into our family well, annoyed our two older dogs as little as a puppy can & picked up the mode of operations around the house quickly. As he started getting bigger & bigger, like any good, rescued, and incorrectly labeled mixed breed from the shelter does...he figured out that he was getting bigger & could do a wee bit of pushing around if he chose. Luckily, I'm a big guy & it didn't have much effect on me. However the mini is 5 & it was rough on him initially as he loved playing with his pup. This collar helped us work with Radar & then let him know he needed to slow down, get down, etc with an easy pull that gave a pinch. He responded so well & no, not in a pained manor, but in a "Oh, not supposed to do that!" way. It has been a huge help! No choke chain or biting collar here, just this awesome piece of training equipment. Easy to recommend this to anyone needing to help work with their dog & make life better for everyone in the house. This is not for anyone to use to pull a dog or yank & hold. PLEASE READ the training on how to use this or google up a YouTube video, no reason to be ignorant & hurt a dog. They don't speak our language, so don't get mad when it is not listening to your words. Work with your dog, meet in the middle. They are naturally loving & just want to get along, so help that happen. Good Luck! =]
