I have never been a fan of recording videos with my cell phone due to being unsteady, resulting shakey videos. Finally, I decided to purchase the isteady x gimbal and now I ask myself why I didn’t get it earlier. It’s lightweight and holds well. The set-up is relatively easy as long as you follow these instructions: 1. Download the “Hohem Pro” app, but do not register yet. 2. Unlock the gimbal’s 3-axes 3. Mount the phone in the phone holder. 4. Press down the gimbal’s on/off button and a Bluetooth green light will blink and open the app (fyi, press the same button if you want a vertical screenview for easier registration set-up.) 5. Register your cell phone, not your e-mail (won’t work). 6. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth & Location. 7. If it doesn’t connect automatically, go to the app’s “Scan Gimbal BT” to connect. For testing the gimbal, I used my Samsung S8 in different environments -- steep hills and flat surfaces -- and it did a great job of steadying the video while I walked at a good pace. Overall, I am really pleased with this stabilizer.
