I bought these for my grand daughers, age 3 and 5, and my expectations were quite low. I was very surprised by this quality little product. Size is small but nice for hands. Controls are not bad, though a couple take referral to the manual for figuring out. As to turning on, tuning, or changing volume, great. And, both the 3 and 5 year old are doing great. Battery life is very long and I'm not worried about them being left on. Hints: Press and hold the memory botton and the unit will automatically program the 20 presets. Great for kids so they just press memory up or down arrows to change stations. Also, Get the kids a small pair of over the ear headphones and make it a rule to only listen with headphones when a grown up is around. Sweet silence. Kids who love to dance can do so without disturbing adults. Having a tough time sleeping? Put on some classical music and let yourself or the kids fall asleep to music. I am totally amazed how well these two little radios have worked for such young kids! If it works for them, you know you'll be able to enjoy it as well. Also has a nice alarm and built in clock so its a nice little full featured unit. Well worth the price they charge.
