So I purchased this as a soldier, with the needs of one, and I will be reviewing it as so. For weeks, to months I can be very far from any source of electricity to power my personal electronics. I've done my best to treat this "power bank" as instructed and to unlisted information but general knowledge of batteries of this type; In doing so it has not failed me once. However, this power bank is clearly made for light travel. While it feels like it is very well made, so does an expensive phone and I feel like it could take as much from dropping it or exposing it to the elements. I feel as though items of this nature are of the adventurers and should have at least some dust protecting and maybe extended rubber corners. As for its ability to hold is claimed power and charging abilities I am extremely satisfied. My Galaxy S4 charges at the same rate as it would connected to the wall and after my first charge I had gone down to 3 bars but it took two more charges to go to 2 bars. This is a large capacity battery and take some time to charge from the wall so my expectations for my 20 watt portable solar panel weren't the highest but with mild sunlight I did charge to full (or near full) within two days sitting near the gunners hatch of my vehicle. Once again I do want to say that this item is not meant for adventurers abuse so keep it in a large sandwich bag and pad it when you can. However, these things can get warm so do not leave it in a sandwich bag while charging or out in the sun because it can greatly damage it. As far as all it's claims they have been meet but one I noticed while "breaking it in" (while in normal conditions) is that it can make a high pitched noise from a connection usb port, on my 5v 2a GS4 charger that I can't figure out. I don't understand electronics that well but I do know that sounds like that come from damage or friction that's going to cause damage later so I'll report on this later to see what happens.
