Review of "The Snoop Sisters"
I vaguely remember this show from when I was younger. We didn't get a TV until I was 13, and "The Snoop Sisters" was on when we got it and went off shortly thereafter. I was beginning to think it had been my imagination because no one I spoke to about it remembered it. Every time I Googled it nothing came up except for the info at imdb.com ([...]) until a few months ago. Then I found that someone had posted the pilot episode on YouTube. So I e-mailed him to see if he had the rest of it, and if so, where'd he get it. He told me that it was available now here, so I grabbed it.
I love Helen Hayes in everything I've seen her in and when she pulls that hat pin out and it's the key that will let her get into anything, but mostly just uses it to start the car, that is priceless. (I really miss seeing ladies wearing those hats.) And the fact that she can't drive very well and although everyone around her is running into everything to get out of her way, but she never has a wreck, is classic. You just have to sit on the edge of your seat expecting her to run into something or someone.
The quality of the DVDs is excellent and, although it's from the 70's, the video is not grainy at all.
Definitely 5+ stars and anyone who loved "Miss Marple" and "Murder: She Wrote" will really enjoy this series.
