I bought this drive so that I could purchase digital copies of my blu ray movies on Vudu. I have an older Lenovo laptop with an Intel Core Duo CPU (1.66GHz) and 4GB of RAM running Windows 7. Most of the expensive name-brand drives I researched have system requirements far more advanced than what I currently have. The drive feels flimsy and arrived in a non-marked cardboard box. I hooked up the drive using both of the USB connectors provided. There is also a disc included if you want to view the movies on your laptop, but I didn't use it. As soon as I plugged in the drive my computer recognized it as an optical drive. I logged on to Vudu, inserted a blu ray disc and immediately the disc was read! I was able to complete my movie conversions in no time thanks to this little drive. Please note that I was unable to view movies on my laptop since I don't have the necessary software. However, I didn't purchase this drive to watch movies on my computer, I purchased it just to "read" my blu ray discs (without actually playing them).
