I'm obsessed!
To say that I've read and watched a couple reviews before purchasing a planner would be an understatement. I've likely spent 50+ hours researching the best planner for me.
My ideal planner needed to be portable, durable, goal-oriented, cute but not gaudy, AFFORDABLE, not made for students or with too much of an emphasis on the dailys (since I don't use this for my 9-5), high-quality, and slightly customizable. The Clever Fox planner is precisely this: my dream planner. Add in the bonus pen loop, 3 bookmarks, lil extra sticker slip, and THE GLORIOUS WEEKLY SPREAD, yeah, you've a good planner.
And, in the planner world, that's saying a lot because the Goldilocks effect is REAL. Things fall into the too much camp or the not enough camp for me. TOO MUCH: Erin Condren, Passion Planner, inkwells, simplifieds by emily ley, plum paper (which is actually really nice and customizable, but too expensive right now). NOT ENOUGH: the get to work book (beautiful, high-quality, just need a squeak more) and panda planner (lolll it lasts 3-6 months depending on what you buy for the same price or more as the Clever Fox). And the bullet journal falls into a gritty in-between depending on how you use it.
PROs:
- The "how to use the planner" guide is NOT IN the planner
- The box is high-quality and sturdy, and I love it
- I bucket my goals naturally, so I love that the goals are set up in focused buckets
- A5, so it travels really well
- Smooth, high-quality paper
- The weekly spreads are so cool! I love the focus on a goal for the week and a built in habit tracker that you can put in any content as your habits/goals shift
- The 54 dotted pages (if you're counting single sides as a page) in the back of the book are perfect for bullet journalists that don't actually want to build the whole journal from scratch
WISH LIST FOR IMPROVEMENTS:
- "Life Area" buckets are NOT filled in. Certain buckets don't apply, so I'm covering them up with whiteout/other buckets, like Travel, House Projects, etc.
- The lil people in the orange stickers look like dunce-cap wearing students or like KKK members...I'm unsure, and won't be using them
- This is truly a stretch: but the dotted pages could be pre-numbered
Would buy again and again and have been recommending to everyone 10/10 :)
