I was never crazy about the idea of using e collars on dogs, but it came down to safety and it was a last resort. We were having a lot of trouble with leash walking. We tried positive enforcement and other corrective techniques without success. I am so glad we went with this product. It has a beep, vibration, and shock features. Initially we tried the beep and vibration. After my dog did not respond to that we used shock. Started at level one but she did not correct her behavior until level 2. She learned really quickly and walks have become enjoyable. When I lost the collar I wrote the company to see how I could get a replacement and they sent me a whole new collar and remote without charge! This time the collar was a slick plastic feeling collar versus the nylon one that I originally had. It seems like it is going to be more comfortable and longer lasting.
