Really enjoy
Bought my 2011 F-150 used in 2014. Factory unit was functionally ok - bit display and interface were below what I could really live with. Promised when I paid truck off I'd upgrade... so here I go. Finished paying off - so this unit was my reward. One of the reasons I bought was for the Android Auto... its actually very useful, I would imagine Apple Auto to be equally sweet. Bought a Mastroe (spelling) plus antenna adapters from Crutchfield along w their "Ready Harness"... only had to splice 1 wire... Took about 7 hours... wasn't EZ - But worth the effort... and kept steering wheel controls. With Panasonics light customization was able to get the radio colors to match the rest of the dash... looks like it is factory. Worth the effort... but don't want to do again. Crutch fields instructions and ready harness leave a little to be desired. Tech support said I didn't need a 12 volt lead from the Bu cam.... Yes I did. Also, they were to supply all wires needed... Not... Needed a 3.5mm stereo to rca red white female to keep Sync aux in... Didn't come with... Best Buy didn't have.... Ordered on Amazon Also to use Sync USB port... Had to fish included USB cable through hole and leave dangling. Ordered an after market dash mounted USB cable... Dremmeled opening for it. Looks near perfect. BTW set your parking braked before you setup anything... But Android Auto is wonderful Push talk button Ok Google. Lets go to walmart on north oak Launchs google maps on the radio screen... Love it
