Nice table
In my quest to find a Reiki massage table I found the 2" padded ones seemed easier on my wallet. Having tried a 2" padded portable table before though, I had a good idea of its comfort level. I also had to consider my clients and how much weight that might be placed upon the bed. Considering the person's weight and working weight (pressure applied) as a factor Amazon claims it to be 600lbs which was a selling point for me. The manufacturer recommends, in the included literature, not to exceed 450lbs of client's weight AND pressure applied. Thus, if you have a client of 300lbs you can exert 150lbs of force downward or about 75lbs of force at an angle. I had thought of docking it a star for the misconception as 450lbs verses 600lbs is a considerable difference, yet in calling Factory Direct Wholesale, LLC (404-202-9994), they confirmed the actual weight limitation to the table as 600 working pounds. Another note is this table is covered with polyurethane vinyl that is textured like leather which is pretty standard. Clean up is suggested using an isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) based hospital grade disinfectant cleaner. Even with a cloth used, I prefer using Cavicide (isopropanol based), letting stand for 3 minutes before wiping clean, followed by a wipe of medical grade alcohol to ensure there is no residue. A light wood polish on the wooden parts keeps them looking great but they have a nice varnish to them. This table is large and somewhat heavy at 60lbs. When collapsed it is 11 inches thick, 39 inches long and 30 inches tall. I am 5'7" tall, 135lbs and slender build so the table is expected to be a little cumbersome for me to haul around for long distances though not impossible. The carry bag has one handle on the side and a shoulder strap for the top. Although I have others to move it around for me, I would highly recommend a massage table cart. There is also a small pouch in the bag that is great for holding MDS sheets and head rest and table linen. In receiving I was pleased with the packaging. The very large box had extra pieces of cardboard at the corners and the entire bed inside it's carrying bag was wrapped tightly in bubble wrap. Unpacking was very simple and the bag is ample sized for a snug fit. Removing the massage table from within was not too difficult. The bed has 1 inch feet on the bottom (which becomes the side) to prevent the vinyl/PU leather from becoming marred or scratched during setup. Set up is quick and easy. There is ample storage for the head rest, arm brace and bolster in the center between the legs where there is elastic straps placed. Height adjustment does require loosening up the grip knobs from each leg and replacing them in the respective holes before setting up. On a nice flat surface this table is very solid feeling and doesn't wobble shake or groan. I found the padding and soft supple vinyl/PU leather to be very ample and luxurious. I had a larger client lay on the table who commented he could "lay there for days!" I noted the table was wide enough that side supports were not needed which was nice. The table does not absorb energies as a metal table seems to and has a very good flow. The back plank was simple to work and moves and locks easily. Releasing is simple by lifting fully up and letting down gently. Everything felt secure and well put together though it should be noted that with any massage table should be inspected and maintained often before placing a client on it. There are 6 plastic covered cables and several hinge points to check but can be done in a couple minutes during setup. I am pleased with the table.
