Just another good waste king
Replaced a Badger that only worked for 6 months, when carefully used. (was i ticked off about that) You have probably seen the 100+ reviews of the other waste kings, which demonstrate that it has to be better than that other brand at least :-) sooo your looking at this one, for some reason, and you dont know why it has so few reviews? Well that was me , Before i did some research and bought this specific model of wastey king. Why did i chose THIS one? because it is not as large as the other one, but still 3/4HP. when researching the replacement, I noticed that the 8000 (type) was going to take a lot of the under the sink space up, that was the only issue i had left after reading the other excellent reviews. There was This one The 3200, but not so many people buying it ?? why it is still muffled for sound it still has the easy install connect stuff it did not need any extra parts and pieces, replaced from sink down It came with an approprite sized elbow for going to the out pipe (distance too) it is just a little bit smaller in diameter, and shorter. Which allowed me to continue to use the under the sink space the same way it has at least 1/2HP , which is all i required it uses the stainless steel (according to the specs) food chopper guts (some cheper models dont) Installed it perfectally (taking my time to do it exactally right) in about 30 minutes, including removing the old one, and cheating and using silicon seal on the gasket after cleaning off the gasket, for the sink hole. Instalation was to one of those iron sinks with the white enamel paint, and Yes a better tapered gasket FOR those sinks would be slightly better IMO. but it centered, and fit very nice. I like the removable rubber sink hole thing better than the one that is Stufffed stuck on the top of the machine (3bolt system) , it can be removed and de-gunked of the slop that gets and lives on it. what else? it comes with the plug-in cord, which is how this house is wired. punched out the hole for the dishwasher hose and stuffed that on there. It a disposal ?? I really thought the last POS would have worked, so i wouldnt find myself saying what i just did :-) Installed now for only days, when i have used it for much time, i will update. Update, 2 years, and it is still working wonderfully. Chews it up, spits it out, and handles anything. Update, 3 years , and it is still working great. update 7 years , didn't skip a beat (Last Update , sold that home) Have a good day!
