Original review - The product is good quality, but by my estimation, it's worth $6 - $7 and not the $20 I paid, thus the 2-stars due to low value. The size is as described. It has a finish that is smooth and pleasant to the touch. Lastly, while not necessarily good or bad, the pillbox works on a slide mechanism and the mechanism extends and retracts in 'steps' that correspond with the daily dividers and those 'steps' make it noisier (i.e., clicks when extending or retracting) than I would prefer. Would have preferred a smooth and quiet glide. Editted 1 yr in... Due to a medical condition, I needed to start taking numerous medications a year ago...bought this to help manage everything. Not sure why I thought the clicking was a problem...you just need to apply a little more pressure to the release button on the glide mechanism and there is no clicking. Editing, because one year in, after daily use, trips, etc., the finish is still like new, and just as pleasant to the touch. Same goes for the glide mechanism. At the point in time when I needed to separate medications into AM/PM, after researching nearly every available option, I ended up ordering a second of these...so must have thought it WAS worth the price in the end. At current I have the golden one for AM (sunrise) and the grey one for PM (nightfall), both colors are very pleasant. One year in I'm very happy with my two purchases.
