$200.00 worth of Piece of Mind
This is a review for the Wave. However I own both a Wave and a Corentium so I wanted to give a bit of a comparison for someone on the fence trying to decide which one to buy. First off I love both of them. Both of my Kids recently bought homes and both needed Radon Mitigation fans installed. I bought the Corentium first to see if I had a problem plus I can lend it to my Kids and friends to check their homes. I saw it as $200.00 worth of Peace of Mind. After the Corentium arrived and set up I realized I also had a Radon problem and had a Mitigation Fan installed. Why these units as worth the money is the fact that Radon levels change with atmospheric Pressure. So you could use a test kit and pass this week but test again next week and you may fail. With the Wave and the Corentium you have on going testing over a period of weeks or months in different seasons which is the only way to see what is really going on.
The High points of the Corentium; It is a standalone unit with a readout right on front. It gives you three Radon readouts. Last 24 hour average level, last 7 day average, and the average from the time you started it until the present time.
The High points of the Wave; The Big Advantage of the Wave for me is the graphing on my smartphone app. I can check the basement Radon, Temperature, and Humidity levels on my Smartphone from anywhere in my house through BlueTooth. The Wave shows you the last reading taken, then gives you a graph of the past 48 hours, the past week, the past Month, and the past Year. This has helped me really see what is going on and I have had further mitigation done to keep things under control. Plus with a simple touch to the front will tell you if your radon levels are OK with a Green, Amber, or Red light.
