Foolproof installation
The glass is almost exactly the same size and shape as the iPhone XR display. Getting it in the right spot would be very tricky, which is why you see so many of these products now including alignment templates. The Spigen system is notable in that the glass is packaged together with the template as a unit. You only get 2 (as opposed to 3 or 4 in other cheaper products, but I think it's worth it to get the ease of installation. You will almost definitely have the second one for another phone instead of fixing a bad installation. The first step is to make sure the screen is clean and they include a typical cleaning wipe to help. I installed mine on the phone just after I took it out of the box. You peel off the plastic layer covering the adhesive on the phone side of the glass (inside the plastic template and labelled with a big number 1). Just make sure you have UP in the right direction. You put the entire assembly onto the phone gently and pressed it down evenly on the edges to make contact with the phone screen. There is a big number 2 in the middle with a slot in the plastic and you rub your finger down the slot once of twice to make sure the glass adheres properly. The instruction on that part says to wait 30 seconds (for the adhesive to get a good bond). You then peel #2 off, which essentially frees the plastic template from the screen protector and lift off the template. The #3 step is to peel off the plastic that protects the front (non-adhesive side) of the glass and that's it. I imagine the other systems where you lay the glass inside a template probably work well too, but with this one you don't have to put your potentially dirty fingers onto the glass at all while installing, so there is very little chance the something from your fingers will mess up the installation.
