This swimsuit is amazing. I have always hated swimsuits, even when I was a size 4. They ride up or down or sideways or whatever, they just always seem to be trying to reveal something about myself that I don't want revealed. So I stopped swimming back when I was a cute little thing. Here I am now, a beached freaking WHALE at 5'7" and 315lbs and my son was like, "Mommy, teach me how to swim!" And I couldn't just say, "Listen here you little runt, I'm not dragging my giant rump to water" because I'm a mom and we're not supposed to say things like that. So instead I smiled, said "Ok!" and then ran panicking to my husband, who honestly thought it sounded like a great idea because he's one of those optimistic people who think everything is a good idea, including marrying a woman who had gained a few pounds while dating because he probably didn't see it getting any worse. The poor dear. So off to the internet I went, because that's better than actually going to a store where there are PEOPLE (no offense to people reading this, but I generally don't like people). I spent way too much time scrolling through swimwear and checking measurements, which most swimwear companies neglect to add to their listings. My husband hovered over my shoulder saying things like, "Oh, that one! That's nice!" while I sniped comments back at him saying things like, "It's not going to look like THAT on me!" and some other ruder things because I was feeling super vulnerable. If you're feeling sorry for him right now, you're right. I finally settled on three that I liked because they looked like they could cover a lot of what I wanted covered (and what my husband didn't seem to want covered) and ordered them. When they arrived (way too fast, Amazon, I needed more time!), my husband giddily brought them to me and demanded a fashion show. I don't know if he's supportive or demented, but off we went. Two were kinda....fine. Like, whatever. But this one...I actually liked it. For the first time in my life, I liked a swimsuit! I hauled my giant carcass to the pool and kept not hating it while my son decided swimming wasn't for him, but I hauled my butt and my son back the next day and now my husband is threatening to get us a membership and I'm not entirely upset about it, which says a lot. This suit...it doesn't ride. It doesn't slip. The bottoms feel like they're cupping my massive cheeks in a reassuring way saying, "Go ahead and enjoy yourself, girl. We got these." The top doesn't offer a ton of support (although more than the others), but I don't need that, I need coverage, and this one does that. It even has a drawstring to help you show a little cleavage if you like, which absolutely DELIGHTED my husband and also my breastfed baby (they both have one track minds on the same track). This suit is getting me out of my shell and out of my house. I can't tell you how difficult that is, but this suit is doing it.
