I grew up in Japan and half of my family still lives there. Everyone had these types of chairs, we had four in our household. I’m in the U.S. now. After throwing my back out and needing to sit on the floor more often (also because I have a toddler and seven month old baby) I needed a floor chair for back support. I remembered these from my childhood and instantly ordered one. I’ve had it for a few days now and I LOVE it. I am always on the floor and use this to nurse my baby in, play with my toddler, read, and watch TV. I love to lean back in it, reminds me of my childhood when I would flip back & forth in it. Mine didn’t have a “factory smell” out of the box. Great packaging.
