Worth Every Penny
As a residential builder/remodeler, blasting out concrete comes up fairly often. We have a number of electric hammers, all Bosch and Makita. We had a job come up recently where we needed an additional demo hammer because of the amount and thickness of slabs we had to remove. It was either buy another $1200+ hammer, rent one for $100/day, or buy this unknown quantity for $120 and have it for as long as it lasts. Well we got our money's worth and then some. We've used it for 3 days straight, and the thing works just as well as our big Makita hammer. For all I know it may kick the bucket tomorrow, but it certainly gave us our money's worth this week. Looking at the other reviews, some people haven't had good luck with these, but I would buy one again in a second. It comes with 2 bits, but for an extra $30 you can get the 3"x12" TR Industrial TR89103 Hex Shank Scraping Chisel. This works better for creating the fracture lines you need to break concrete out in bigger chunks. Make sure you oil it. they recommend diesel motor oil (15w40). This isn't a big pneumatic hammer for breaking rock, but it will definitely handle 100 square feet of slab concrete as well as any of the name brands.
