I just got this box spring today. I was going to wait for my man to come home to help me but I decided to give it a go at assembling it myself. It was very easy. So easy and quick that I have time to come downstairs and write a review and mock all the complaints for this product. I've read reviews saying they didn't get instructions included and really you don't need them. I constructed more complex Lincoln Log structures when I was 6 and had a fever. I just paid attention to where the groves were for where the cross slats would have to fit. I realized very quickly that I needed to turn the center board upside down from how I had it because there needed to be space for those said cross planks to fit. Yeah, the wood is rough. I don't know what posh, complaint-filled lifestyle people are used to, but this wood is never meant to be seen. This product comes with a cover included. The short amount of time you will be spending looking at it or touching it is very minimal. Maybe even less if you can get over yourself and just put the frame together. "Oh god! I got a splitter!" Yes, you are the reason we have to put warning labels all over everything. It's bed frame that goes over your mattress. You will have 12" of your high-end Beauty Rest between you and that nasty, mean, bad old wood. (And is it spruce? Is it pine??? Again, who cares?) I'm pretty sure you won't have restless nights, tossing your Princess and the Pea butt around, uncomfortable because you can <harsh, dramatic whisper> ...FEEL THE SPLINTERS. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this product to friends and loved ones. And I will sleep good at night.
