You can't buy a Power Wheels ride on for this kind of money!!!
Before we get to the meat and potatoes....I feel it important to mention safety first, so..... WARNING! THIS IS NOT A TOY AND SHOULD ONLY BE USED UNDER COMPETENT ADULT SUPERVISION, USING APPROPRIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO; D.O.T. APPROVED HELMET, EYE PROTECTION, GLOVES AND SOLID SOLE, CLOSED TOE SHOES. THIS BIKE HAS EXPOSED PARTS WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS AND INJURY! DO NOT REMOVE ANY INSTALLED SAFETY EQUIPMENT! DOING SO CAN RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH! Some people have had problems with this bike. Not me. I think it's a perfect bike for the beginner rider. You can't touch any name brand, new 50cc bike for triple the money! Shipping was fast, but you will need to sign for the bike. Well packed, with no missing parts. Includes two sheets of vinyl graphics decals, an fuel/oil mixing bottle and a sad, little toolkit capable enough for assembly. Assembly includes mounting the rear shock absorber to the swing arm, mounting the front tire (thick spacer in disc brake side, thin spacer opposite side), mounting handlebars to forks, mounting front fender, front number placard and triple clamp/front fork guard. Decals are included and will take longer to apply than bike assembly did. Spray bottle of water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid helps with decal placement. Spray decal adhesive side and bike part to which decal is being applied to. Use a damp sponge or cloth to squeegee out excess water and smooth decal after application. Bike also came with gas/oil mixing bottle 25:1 ratio. Bike features full suspension, centrifugal clutch, dead man's lanyard/kill switch, front and rear cable mechanical disc brakes, throttle limiter, alloy wheels and aggressive knobby tires. Once assembly was complete, I mixed a bottle of gas at 25:1, put it in the tank, choked the carb and after a few pulls, it fired right up. Idle was a little low, so I adjusted the idle up a bit using the throttle cable adjustment screw on the throttle grip. Also, I checked and adjusted the brakes to make sure the bike will stop. The chain seemed a bit noisey, so I checked the tension/deflection and there was barely any. So, I adjusted the chain to about 3/4" deflection. Remember, a tight chain will wear out quickly and eat up both sprockets. BTW, you can find all kinds of spare parts on Amazon. Heck, you can pick up a spare motor, complete, for less than $50. There are hyper heads, performance reed kits, performance carbs and pipes...if you wanna turn your little one into a gear head....just sayin'. A few points to consider, you really want your rider to be familiar with hand brakes. As well, they should be able to ride a two wheeler without training wheels. While you can find bike training wheels on Amazon, they are expensive. One other point, check ALL fasteners for tightness; motor mounting screws, exhaust pipe mounting screws, fork triple clamp screws, as they all can loosen during shipping. I, as a general rule, use blue Loc-Tite when installing screws and nuts (search Amazon "blue loc-tite"). It will prevent them from loosening due to vibration, but allow you to remove them with tools. I like this bike because of it's price and simplicity. Teaching small ones to ride is tough enough, nevermind clutch/shifting and throttle application. I also like that it has a pull starter versus a kick start, at least for the adult. I couldn't imagine kick starting such a small bike. I also like the throttle limiter screw. You can adjust based on your little riders ability....and, hey, three bills ain't bad for any type of new kids bike. Heck, most power wheels cost as much! Bottom line, a great little beginner bike for your little ones at a great price, and if they fall in love, you can always move them up to a KTM, Honda or Yamaha! If they don't, you've got yourself a cool, little pit bike! A win win in my book!
