Where has this been my whole life? Win~!
I bought this stuff from my local co-op and gave it a try. I had hope that it would work but I am pretty cynical. I took it as directed, 2 caps a day. I didn't do anything else in my life different... just 2 caps in the am with my green tea. I did put off my coffee for one hour so that the cap/bacteria would get to it's "happy place" without riding a carpet of Starbucks on the way.
I could tell there was a difference in my "feelings" within 5 days. I was not in some deep dark hole, but life was really feeling like a grind. I just wasn't "happy" nor was I suicidal. I was just "flat"... When the alarm went off, I didn't feel like crying or staying in bed. When my teenager pushed my buttons, it was just life..."meh". As it should be.
I asked my family what they thought, they all absolutely said they hope I keep taking this. That made me laugh. It might have upset me a few weeks ago....
It's like looking outside my rainy Seattle window and being ok with the gray and even liking it....
I will begin my new bottle soon. I'm sold.
A cursory look online will tell us the gut brain connection. A copy from an article in part: "The Benefits of Probiotics for Brain Health
One area that gets neglected quite a bit is the gut/mind connection, and it has a lot to do with probiotics as well.
The gut is connected to the brain by the tenth cranial nerve. It's one of the largest cranial nerves in the body, and it's actually the longest. But it's like a two-way street when you get a nerve. There's impulses going both directions.
And so, if you irritate the gut, certain chemical reactions and certain nerve impulses go to the brain. You can irritate the brain and it can go to the gut. And what some of the research is finding out: There's certain strains of probiotics that, when they're in abundance, they actually calm the lower gut. They calm that area, which actually calms the brain." that was from another brain probiotic supplement ad...
