Normally I don't write product reviews, but for dotpen active stylus I will make an exception. I have been looking for a quality stylus for almost 9 months now. I have tried EVERYTHING from the highly acclaimed ampen hybrid stylus to the joy factory pinpoint plus. I have a Samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 tablet. I am a biology student going on for a doctorate in physical therapy. In other words....I write A LOT. I have been wanting to use my tablet for note taking b/c that way I could have all my information in a single place. However I did not want to type that much on the screen and besides I type rather slowly anyway. So I began my search for a decent capacitive stylus. As I said earlier, I went through them ALL. Until finally I began to give up. Then I found the dotpen active stylus. It is truly the best stylus I have used to date. The thermoplastic tip glides over the screen EFFORTLESSLY. The weight of the stylus makes it feel like an actual pen in my hand. So far the battery life seems to be sufficient, I just keep a spare AAA on me when im in school. However there are 2 minor flaws to the pen. First is the tapping noise when the tip of the stylus makes contact with the screen. Honestly you get used to it. And you learn not to press so hard when using the stylus. Then there is the position of the power switch. I find myself accidentally hitting it at least once a day. It is kind of annoying but really I will take this small inconvenience for such an excellent product. My opinion.... if anyone, whether you're an artist, student, teacher, lawyer etc... is looking for a high quality stylus that is PRECISE and works wonderfully then get the dotpen active stylus. It is worth every penny and I am so so so happy with the purchase.
