Does what it says, and cheap
I own over a dozen stringed instruments, and wanted hangers for all of them. So I needed something fairly inexpensive. These do the trick. Being adjustable is really nice, as I everything from an 8-string guitar (more on this later) to a mandolin. They fit everything from my 5-string bass to my mandolin. and they are deep enough to hold my jumbo-bodied acoustic without the headstock being near the edge.
Out of the box, they did not fit around the neck of my 8-string guitar. They were just barely too narrow. I was able to take the foam off and make a slight tweak with my hands and a pair of vise-grips, now it works great. It took a pretty good amount of force to bend it, so I'm not worried about them bending while in use.
I was a bit worried, that being adjustable, something might slip out, but no amount of reasonable pulling on any of my instruments made them move.
All of the hardware was included. It even came with drywall anchors, But I probably wouldn't trust mounting them anywhere but on a wall stud. After mounting them up, I pulled pretty hard on them (and I'm a fairly big guy) and everything felt solid. The heaviest instrument I have weights about 10 lbs, and thats pretty heavy for a guitar, but I trust it on these hangers.
another thing to note is that padding is foam, instead of the rubber you find on a lot of guitar stands, so You shouldn't have to worry about any reactions with the finish
There are some nicer looking ones on the market, and some with a few more features. But if you have a lot of stuff to hang up and don't want to a small fortune doing it, these are a great choice
