Granted I'm not the heaviest or tallest person, but it's held up on some of my larger and taller friends. It's very solid, but I can also move it myself and assembly was relatively straightforward. I would say though, one of the parts came bent so I had to hammer it out myself. I'm pretty handy, so it wasn't an issue for me, and I didn't really care that some of the pain chipped off but I can see that might be a problem for some people. I would buy this again because it is exactly what I needed. It's pretty heavy duty though, so you might want to assemble it with someone else particularly if you're not good with things like that.
