So I just got my Pure Zen Tea Tumbler with Infuser a few days ago. First off I was impressed with the packaging. It was in a solid cardboard tube and then bubble rap. Additionally it has its neoprene sleeve on it for added protection. Of course packaging is all great, but how is the bottle. This bottle is well put together. It has some weight and feels quality. It didn’t leak on me at all. Same goes with the basket for the tea, it is well built. This part of the tumbler really impressed me right off the bat. I have owned many, but this one wowed me in how well built it was put together. So I decided to make two different teas with the same amount of time I use in my old infuser. As a big tea person I would rate the infuser as average. After I pulled the basket out at the end of the time I found the tea a tad weaker than my old infuser. So probably just leaving it in a little longer will solve that problem for me. Next came how well does this thing keep your tea warm. (I didn’t try cold as I wouldn’t use it for making a cold drink) So I tried it with the neoprene sleeve and without. First off on both tests I noticed that the tumbler was already getting warm on the outside. This is never a good sign in keeping something warm or cold for any amount of time. I would say without the sleeve it was lucky to be warm after an hour. With the sleeve it took about 2 hours. So as a tumbler to make tea and than drink it I would say this is a great product. I would say for making tea and wanting it to be warm after an hour or so, not so much. Overall impressed, but had to remove a star because how fast it lost its heat. If I have any leaking issues (which I haven’t had any) I will come back and update.
