I'm not sure why anyone would buy the Bissell Pet Hair version of this product. Is it the color...? The fact that it says 'pet hair' on the clear container...? Both of these Bissell products have the same motor amp, spongy pet-hair grabber, and stats, except for one detail that is important to me -- the cord on the pet hair version is 2 feet shorter. SHORTER. That made my decision easy. I want the longer cord. This handheld cleaner is a workhorse, and it's great for getting my dogs fur off the stairs, furniture, etc. (just like I'm certain the pet hair version would too). BUT I never have to worry about having enough cord for the stairs or when vacuuming out my van, and so much more. So, unless you have an aversion to additional cord length (and attachments), I think this one is a no-brainer.
