Love this belt!! Stays put! Multi-uses!
I absolutely love this! I bought a MED to wear on my HIPS, so I can't give much advice for those looking to wear it on your waist. Before purchasing, I read a bunch of reviews, some of which said the belt fell down for some, but mine stays put. I've been distance running for 11 years - not an elite runner but I've tried all kinds of tricks to carry my phone, gel, key, etc. I hate those clunky running belts (w/water) that bounce around and annoy you as you run, and I'm so tired of putting stuff in my bra and pockets. I wore the Flipbelt in a road 1/2 marathon and it was awesome! I will say, w/the weight of my iPhone (4s) in small case, plus 6 Gu gels packs and my ID/debit card, it did slide down more and sit lower but it wouldn't have slid OFF my hips. After removing a gel or two, it didn't budge! (Note: I had tried the Flipbelt only ONCE on a trail 5-miler before using it in the 1/2, and I forgot it was there!) I think the fit probably depends on HOW you're built (body type.) I'm larger in hip/thigh area and smaller in the waist (w/wide shoulders.) If you have that "dip" in your hips like I do, btwn your top and bottom hip bones, it should stay put. As for ladies that complained that it slid down when wearing it on their waist - well that suggests to me that they have the opposite body type as I do so I can see how it might slide downward. I planned to wear it on my hips as I don't like tight or binding things on my waist. But if I were to wear it on my waist, it may slide (bounce) upward as I run but it would NEVER fall past my hips (unless I bought a XL or larger.) I'm 5'7" 135 lbs - 35 in. bust, 28 in. waist (at the smallest point), and 37 hips (measured at middle of hips, across the center of my butt - right where I wear the belt.) The med ended up being the perfect size for my hips; snug but not tight and constructing. I'm able to place my items in w/out flipping it, but I flip it for longer runs as I get more in my "zone." I saw one review complaining that the Flipbelt doesn't hold a water bottle. You could probably squeeze one in if you tried but it's not made for that! This belt would also be great for DIABETICS w/insulin pumps, those who don't like purses or bags, or for moms w/their hands needed elsewhere at all times. It could be concealed under a loose shirt or jacket (on your waist or hips.) For anyone whose hips are over 40 in. I'd recommend a large as I can see it feeling too tight (unless that's how you'd prefer it.) Either way, for the very reasonable $28, if you buy the wrong size, order the correct size for you and give the other one away as a gift! I'll be rockin my Flipbelt for miles to come!
