This bad boy does remove stains. That review that said it doesn't is a lie. I bought this machine to clean the carpet in my house that I rented out and when I got it back the carpet look ruined. I was going to replace them all because they were almost black. This machine gave my carpets new life and saved me thousands of dollars. Take a look at the photos. They tell the story. I recommend using the rug doctor cleaning solution. It works very well and does what it says. You can't go wrong with this machine.
