I did not follow the directions and it still helped my nails grow out from years of getting acrylic nails.
I had my doubts. I like many women on here, spent years getting fake acrylic nails but in 2012 it started to hurt. When I would get my nails done the nail beds would be sore for days after they were done. I tried changing saloons 1st, but they still hurt which told me this was not the nail saloon fault something was wrong, so I stopped getting my nails and I discovered that my nails were thin and damaged, they were paper thin. I tried different nail strengtheners which did help a little but my nails would break the minute they tried to grow out, it took 3 years for them to heal from a decades of getting them done in a saloon. Last year I read about nail envy while looking for solution to grow them out and decided to give it try. At first my nails did break while using nail envy. I figured out, this was not the fault of the product. At work I was using cheap latex gloves that began to irritate my skin and my nails would break after taking the gloves off. I thought the nail envy would protect my nails from it but if I am allergic to latex gloves its unfair to expect this protect to protect my nails from what ever is in the powder in those cheap latex gloves. I stopped using those glove and started using Nitrile gloves. I had no problems after that, in fact my nails grew longer and stronger as seen in the picture. This product works to help strengthen your nails, I would like to add that I did not follow the instructions. I just applied the product and let it were off, then a week or two latter I reapplied it and as you see in the picture it still worked. I am not suggesting that anyone should not follow the directions, I just want to point out that this products worked for me without following the suggested use and that means a lot to me. It tells me that this product works well! If you have weak brittle nails you may want to try the product, I think the only reason it would not work is if you are allergic or have a serious medical condition that prevents your nails from growing out, other than that I think this is a pretty solid product.
