****Update2**** I originally had this at 5 Stars. Then I received a fake one, so I lowered it to 1 Star. However I just received a refund for the fake oil I received. I didn’t even request a refund! So, I’ve raised my rating back to 5 Stars because I really do love this oil, and it deserves 5 Stars. ****Update**** I’ve been using this since August 2017. It is now June 2018. I’ve bought 6 bottles of this. The last bottle looked different. The words were in Japanese and the color was lighter. I dismissed it and thought, “this must be the version sold in Japan.” It isn’t. It’s fake. It smells bad and stings my eyes. I am VERY upset that I received a knockoff. This stuff is not cheap. BEWARE. I added photos of the good one and the bad one. The good one is a deeper yellow, and has English writing. This really is my FAVORITE facial cleanser when I get the actual product. ****original review below**** This is my favorite makeup remover AND cleanser. It's extremely gentle, yet highly effective. I was searching for a cheaper oil cleanser to replace my Burt's Bees oil cleanser. DHC is my new replacement, and it's even better than Burt's. The Burt's Bees cleanser is great, but it's expensive per oz. The price issue is compounded by the dispensing pump. It squirts out too much oil too quickly, so waste happens. So I tried Palmer's Cocoa Butter oil cleanser. It was thicker, but it left an oily residue on my face. I had to re-wash my face with a classic cleanser to remove the residue. Which led me to DHC. It's similar to Burt's Bees in that when water is added during the rinsing step, it emulsifies and rinses off completely. It's a one step cleanser. In another review it talked about DHC turning milky when it is rinsed off with water, and I found this to be true as well. I highly recommend this oil cleanser. It fully removes my longwear foundation and waterproof mascara without leaving an oily residue.
