Ammonium Lactate is very good for scaly dry skin, but I also want to add (for any fellow sufferers)that this truly works to clear up Keratosis Pilaris. Many people have this condition - small white bumps primarily on the back of arms (can be on back, legs, face also) - that is genetic and caused by a build up of keratin in the hair follicles and has no cure. Because the bumps look a little like pimples, many sufferers try acne/pimple remedies, but those are of little use. Keratosis Pilaris can't be cured but Ammonium Lactate in this 12% formula works like a charm to clear up the bumps. It takes so little that I can make a bottle last a couple months and since you can get this now without prescription, it provides a inexpensive way to have beautiful skin. I use just a little daily on the problem areas and even though I suffered with the bumps for years, there is now no sign of the condition. So nice to be able to wear a sleeveless shirt without embarrassment! One reviewer complained about the smell and it is true that this lotion does not smell like your normal perfumed body lotions. I want to assure anyone who might be put off by the smell that is not that strong and dissipates within a couple minutes once applied. The odor does not remain on your skin. And, you can use this lotion and still use your regular body lotion or perfume if you want you skin to smell sweet. This product makes good skin look and feel better and it can make some types of bad skin look and feel normal! I highly recommend it.
