Supports at least 27.5 Watts (3A through Type-C + 2.5A through Type-A) continuously without any issues!
This will be the first USB Type-C charger I've evaluated so far that seems to truly pass muster as a high-current charger. While I'm no Benson Leung, I am a Hardware Design Engineer, and I do have the ability to properly load test multiple power supplies. Using two BK Precision 8500 Digital Electronic Loads, I successfully placed a 3A load on the Type-C connector and a simultaneous 2.5A load on the Type-A connector built into the body of this charger. Both loads operated normally for the 15 minute test period, without any hiccups or brown-outs. This charger provided 27.5W continuous power through both jacks, without either end sagging while the other end was toggled on/off. The last test was to verify that the Type-C connector is following the USB Type-C specification and reporting that it is capable of providing 3A of current to an attached load. According to my USB 3 PD test appliance, the Type-C end is properly configured, and I verified that my Type-C devices did in fact pull 3.0A from this charger. I give it a thumbs-up. Also note that at least one company, called "NXET", has unethically stolen this product review and posted it on their products page. Buyer beware!
