A Satisfying 5* Real Review, By Someone Who Read It
At this point I'm 3/4's into the book and I doubt my 5 star rating will change. This book has an honest and easy going voice. I can hear her talking in my head as I read. It is a very relatable book full of highs and lows, insecurities and wonderful achievements, regret and sadness, and a lot of good advice for women in a male dominated industry. I would very much like my own daughter to read this book. A highly intelligent individual who I have the utmost respect for, even more so after reading her memoirs. She shows the tough as nails moments in her life but is not ashamed to share the times where she was scared, alone, and feeling vulnerable. It is a book that is meant to make the reader feel as if she was confiding in you, in a tone where you are the journal and she is writing to you. I respectfully disagree with comments that this was written poorly. And it is disheartening to see that there are review comments where it really has nothing to do with the book itself but with the questions she dealt President Elect Trump. Her life would have been easier if Bret had offered the infamous question up, but kudos to her as a women for having the courage to ask it. Only read this book if you value a highly intelligent woman who is not afraid to bare her flaws, own her mistakes and learn from her failures. She worked hard to be the woman she is, and deserves the accolades. She IS fair and balanced in a world where there is not too much of that going on. And yes this is a real review ' and not fake.
