This is a great album that is reminiscent of his past greats
I have every album released by Jackson Browne. His music has been a light for me for many many years. There are a couple of his albums that did not quite meet the high standard he has set, but this album is definitely not one of them. I really wonder if those individuals who left negative reviews have really listened to this album or have really followed him closely throughout the years. This is a great album that is reminiscent of his past great albums. I was astonished to hear one reviewer comment negatively about it being too political - that is the essence of Jackson Browne. His greatest songs have been about the injustice of this world. Then the remark about Yeah Yeah - I wonder if the reviewer actually listened to the lyrics. Lastly, a steel guitar does not make it a country song (not that country songs are bad). If you check my past reviews you will see that I am quite conservative in any my ratings. This album is truly top notch. Don't let those that have have only listened to Jackson Browne over the airwaves cloud your judgement. Buy it - listen to it - and I promise you will agree.
