I really love this soap! It has a nice consistency, a decent amount of lather, and leaves the hands feeling clean. One thing thing to note is this product does contain SCS. SCS is often confused with SLS as they are both made by treating fatty acids with sulphuric acid and then neutralizing it with alkaline. The notable difference here is SCS is made using whole coconut oil, so it has a more complex molecular structure, which helps prevent it from penetrating the skin, making it less likely to irritate the skin. This is also why this product does not dry out the skin. There is a lot of debate on the use of SCS in green cleaning products, but from my research it is safe, and the SCS is an important ingredient in helping break down the dirt/residue on my husband’s hands. (He’s a pipeline welder.) Our household hasn’t experienced any irritation from using this product, and will continue buying it.
