"IF USED CORRECTLY☺"
I do my own fiberglass nails, have for 15 years, give or take. My way of using this is simple. For repairing a cracked , split , or broken nail , lightly buff the area , remove any polish, oil , anything on your nail to be repaired. Take a small, amount of nail resin or nail glue , brush on works best. While the glue is barely tacky, take a strip of this fiberglass & completely cover the section of nail, needing repaired.Tap the fiberglass down gently using an orange stick, cuticle pusher, whatever is handy.Remember whatever you choose to use will have to be wiped clean from the glue. Brush a thin layer of glue over the entire strip, over lapping onto your own nail. Avoid your skin & cuticle area. Now using resin activator spray the repaired area. Hold spray bottle about 6" from your hand. Do this three times, really sealing in the fiberglass. This is what you would do if putting a full set of tips on as well, just covering your entire nails, putting a stress strip across the area where your natural nail meets the tip you applied. Gently buff your entire nail, apply one more coat glue , spray, buff out the shine .Wipe nail, with alcohol or polish remover. Paint your nails , or not. The activator cures , hardens, and seals the fiberglass you put on your nail. Before my husband retired we laid brick for a living.I mixed the mortar , unloaded the brick, laid pavers .When used the correct way , this will stand the test of time .Yeah you still can break a nail , but this will really add durability & strength to them. Not many of us ladies lay brick and still have long nails . I did while using fiberglass nail wraps. I couldn't find A.S.P.'s instruction videos for their products, if you really want to use fiberglass for your repairs or for applying tips, go to: BACKSCRATCHERS NAIL SYSTEM, they have videos for everything nail related. Their products as good as they are , I've used them, are very $$$. You can find fiberglass wraps in pre-cut strips as well, as silk wraps in pre-cut strips . The difference between fiberglass & silk is only the thickness & tightness the the fibers. The silk has a tighter weave , yet thinner then the fiberglass, both equally strong, and both tacky on the back for keeping it in place while working with it. Please just keep in mind you have natural oils on your hands even when clean, so touch the side of the strips as little as possible , or it won't work as well as it should. Sorry this review left you with so much to read, there are only my personal experiences with a product I have used & trusted for a long time now. 💅THANKS FOR READING, BYE💅
