Use this box with World's Best Cat Litter...
Many cat owners buy the Omega Paw self-cleaning litter box because it's more hygienic than scooping a box yourself, but they don't use the right kind of litter with the box to truly maximize its potential. World's Best Cat Litter (Extra Strength Multicat Formula) is what I use. It's made from corn, so it's non-toxic. In addition, it's also safe to flush. What this means for Omega Paw owners is that they can put this premium clumping cat litter into their box, and then when it's time to roll the box and pull out the waste tray, the contents of the waste tray can go directly into a toilet. No need for plastic bags or potentially smelly waste receptacles. It's the most hygienic way to handle a litter box that I have ever discovered. I highly recommend this combination. The Omega Paw box itself gets 4 stars because the plastic tabs are a bit weak. If you only open the tabs once a month or so to do deep cleaning of the box and replace the litter, they shouldn't break too soon. If you're opening the box every day or so to add litter, you may have problems. The way I add litter to my Omega Paw is to fill the removeable tray with as much litter as I just scooped out, then use the tray to dump the litter in the front opening. This saves me from having to take the top off the box, which in turn keeps the weak clips from breaking. Also, World's Best Cat Litter weighs a lot less than typical clumping cat litter, which should save the box from undue strain when rolling.
