The product works exactly as described and its very easy to work with. Many people complained about the height of edging. Unless you are using something that is physically larger in diameter than the height of the edging, the height is fine. I used hardwood mulch in my panting beds as well as pine bark nuggets small and large. The spikes included with the kit are about 6 inches long, more then 3/8" in diameter and will require a headed hammer or mallet to get into the ground. I used the spikes every 5 feet and at spots where the ground was not perfectly flat or I anchoring a curve. Now allot of people complained that there were no enough spikes. The quantity included for a 100 foot run is pretty sparse. To handle this problem with the least cost I used 4 inch landscaping paper staples. Like this http://www.amazon.com/500-4-Landscape-Garden-Staples-Strong-Steel-Made/dp/B00X954KZ4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 . I use one staple at every other tab. My house is 100 feet long and 50 feet wide so a huge area to work on and a large number of spikes/staples were needed. It took me about 2 hours to edge the entire area. I would also recommend a tool such as this for cutting the edging http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-FatMax-14-563-Straight-Aviation/dp/B00009OYFY/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1460644993&sr=1-2&keywords=tin+snips . Lastly I would recommend that landscaping paper be put down first with the edging placed over the top to prevent weeds from growing. I found this Scotts product to be easy to work with http://www.amazon.com/SCOTTS-25-Year-Pro-Fabric-150-Feet/dp/B00LK2MJ9M?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
