Bought this product for my four day hike to the Na Pali Coast on Kauai, HI. Though we came along multiple water sources that the locals said were "ok" to drink from without boiling, I chose to purify the water just in case. I was filling multiple Nalgene bottles (32oz) and I dropped two tablets in each bottle, also had a hydration bladder (roughly 90 to 100 oz) and I would drop 5 tablets in it to purify. 30 minutes later, potable water! This was a hell of a lot quicker than the tablets my friend had; he would have to wait FOUR hours for the water purification tablets to work on the same quantity of water! I never used the second bottle included in this package, to make the water "taste better." There is a slight iodine taste and brown color to the water after purifying it, but I honestly did not mind nor did I care. I used these tablets for four days, but at the rate I was using these tablets, I am guessing I had a solid six to eight day supply. I was very impressed with this product overall and will purchase more in the future for upcoming hikes!
