Good product, be warned if it's your first time
I bought this at the behest of my wife since the previous one she had died and wasn't that great. I've never used it before, but I figured I'd give this thing a try (of course when the wife wasn't home, and without reading any instructions, because that's what men do). Cool little gadget and really simple to use, but a few pointers for anyone new to using a water flosser.
1. Keep your mouth semi open for the water to drain
2. Stay close to the sink and semi bent over.
3. Keep a towel near by.
4. Move at a moderate pace while ensuring you circle each tooth, while not placing the tip too closely to the tooth/gum
..........lastly
5. DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TURN THIS THING TO FULL POWER
For whatever reason in my mind, I figured I needed to get in close and that this needed to be on full power to "get the job done". Trust me, it doesn't and on initial burst, there was a roaring gush of water that sent a crispy cold shot of water into my gums which then followed an unexpected shock of pain to my front teeth. Of course without thinking I completely jerked my head from the spout/tip which then caused me to start shooting water at myself, and then all over the bathroom. After cleanup, I dialed it back mid way and was able to finish cleaning the rest of my teeth. All of which feel like I accomplished what I originally meant to do, and give myself that fresh from the dentist feeling. Great product, just be warned.
Update:
The only downside that the motors are somewhat loud
