There is a very strong chemical odor. Not pleased about that. This was also packaged very cheap. It arrived in a zip lock bag. If you are buying this for a gift, I personally would look elsewhere. This is for my 4 year old so he is pleased with anything. I like the colors gives at the look of an actual Nerf vest. Wish the back was not mesh but thats me being picky.
