I can not say enough good things about this product. As soon as it came in, I put in the come-with lithium batteries, and a pair of AAA battery for the remote. Then tested it. First, at close range of about 2 -3 feet. It made a loud beeping sound twice. Good. So, I placed it behind a photo frame hanging over the fireplace, then covered about 50 feet distance, making sure I had a wall between me and the line of sight to create a second barrier. Lo and behold it worked again. There are stuffs out there that are gimmicky, but not this one. This is a life saver. I can not speak on the durability of the come-with batteries, but if they die tomorrow, I'm replacing them because this stuff is worth every penny. Buy it for your car keys. Buy it for your wallet. But it and tape it to the back of your TV remote (and your small Amazon TV remote too) Buy it. Buy it. Buy it!!! And worry no more about where you placed what & what or so and so. My one regret is that I wished I'd found this eSky remote finder a lot sooner. Let me add that there was one small mistake I made and I see others might make it too. When I placed the flat battery in its nest and covered it, I thought I had closed the cover properly by turning it clockwise. So, I was surprised when I turned the fob rightside up, the case in the back fell off. So, I took my butter knife (my improvised screwdriver. LOL) and screwed it again clockwise. This time I heard POP/CLICK sound indicating it had locked in place properly. So, remember to listen for that sound. Hope this review helped.
