Works great, suggest blending shades to match you color
Pros: This is HAIR DYE. It really does deposit color on your hair, and it makes a noticeable improvement over the dye-fade-dye cycle.
I blend this with another shade of Gem Lines to get just the right color. Unless your hair is platinum white, you should get a Gem Lites shampoo that's a shade lighter than you think you need (or like me, get both and blend them). Their color swatches are all on very light hair. I dye my hair a natural looking orange/red. The Fire Opal, if used every other wash, slowly darkens my hair. By the end of a month or so, the difference is really noticeable. It's just too dark. (And that is alternating with Shine Wash by the same company, as recommended).
My solution: Buy this (Fire Opal), buy the lighter shade (Gem Lites Tourmaline), and buy their Shine Wash. Put all three into separate travel size pump bottles (Bed Bath and Beyond). For every shampoo, use mix Shine Wash and a mixture of the two colors to match your shade. The pump bottles make it easy to control the amounts. For me, the colored part of the mix is 3/4 Tourmaline and 1/4 Fire Opal. I find this easier than trying to alternate and remember which I used last time. If my color dulls a little, I'll use the colored shampoos only to an extra kick.
