I just got my mini jambox. I could open a museum for all the pocket sized speakers I have bought over the years. I have tried the Bose mini, The Carbon Audio, and tested virtually all the small speakers on the market....HANDS DOWN THIS IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THE REST. The Bose mini is a small brick that is not practical as a pocket sized speaker, and the Mini Jambox has clearly better sound in my view. At first I thought it did not have track controls, but it DOES.....so this is IT.....clear highs, amazing breadth of sound...clear and undistorted even at high volume. This is even far better sounding that the larger, original Jambox. Plus this works as a bluetooth speakerphone! Jambox DID IT! UPDATE (A FEW DAYS AFTER OWNING THIS) I am so beside myself on how great this speaker is, I must continue. I keep finding new benefits. Here are more. When receiving a call, a beautiful smooth female voice tells you the caller ID. She does it only once, not to bug you. PLUS, when your bluetooth device is powered down, within minutes, the Jambox mini powers down to save battery life! I also notice a very consistent automatic pairing with my cellphone. I have always previously had glitches with automatic pairing with other bluetooth speakers---but this Jambox mini is the best ever. There is also a button to press to tell you remaining battery life in increments of 10%. An automatic warning from the smooth lady's voice tells you when you are at 10% remaining. Please ignore the bad reviews by idiots that think a tiny pocket speaker is going to thunder like a jumbo jambox...they should be ashamed of themselves for being so stupid. They do not know laws of physics. They are the same people that expect a bicycle to break the motorcycle speed record. I was listening to the Neil Diamond song, In my lifetime...at the end there are a few seconds of a stopwatch ticking...like at the beginning of 60 minutes program...it was so crystal clear, it might as well have been an actual stopwatch! The delicate detail in symbols, the whole units vibrates to radiate the bass frequencies...really an amazing experience. It is true that this will not get LOUD LOUD, but if you place this in front of you on the table, it is plenty loud for normal people. This speaker is so good, that my obsession with pocket sized speakers is over! Not only that, I am so spoiled by the delightful clarity of this speaker, I am selling my museum of other ones. People, this SMOKES the Bose! I owned the Bose, and returned it. This speaker is the BOMB. For those of you who own the original Jambox (the first one, more square than this, but same size), you will be BLOWN AWAY at the sound IMPROVEMENT! You will be SPOILED once you get this speaker. You will take it everywhere. You can hold it in your hand while running or walking. OK, you got the point. UPDATE: You know you have an audio breakthrough when suddenly you want to listen to your entire music collection all over again. This is my experience with the Mini Jambox. I heard amazing new details in both vocals and instruments. There is an unexplainable new breadth in every instrument. I am now listening to early Beatles music...I am catching many news details I NEVER heard before! Throw all the other pocket sized speakers in the dumpster....the Mini Jambox Rules. Also! This has an auxiliary input, so you can use it as a great computer speaker for your desktop, PC or tablet.
